#AskTDS: Why is TDS Northern Ireland shortlisted for the CIH Awards?

| 7 February 2019

In this week’s #AskTDS, we answer a landlord’s question, “Why is TDS Northern Ireland shortlisted for the CIH Awards?”

The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Awards are an annual celebration of those leading the field in the housing industry in Northern Ireland.

Now in its 10th year, the awards ceremony will take place at Titanic, Belfast on 22 February 2019.

TDS Northern Ireland (TDSNI) has been shortlisted in the “Excellence in Customer Service” and “Excellence in the Private Rented Sector” categories. TDSNI has a successful history at the awards, winning the Customer Service Excellence category in 2016, and the Raising Standards in the Private Rented Sector (PRS) category in 2017.

The award entry this year focussed on the team’s commitment to delivering the highest standard of service, promoting the importance of deposit protection through a multitude of channels and initiatives, raising awareness of deposit protection, producing guidance on avoiding disputes, and raising standards in the PRS.

In every year since the inception of TDSNI, we have met our business KPIs of answering calls in 30 seconds or less, responding to emails within 24 hours and we aim to provide added value service to customers including face-to-face contact.

As the only deposit protection scheme based in Northern Ireland, we also operate an open-door policy in its Belfast office.

We’re grateful to have been shortlisted, especially in the landmark 10th year of the awards. Competition is fierce as ever, but we look forward to seeing lots of friendly faces on the night.
