How does the scheme work?

Your landlord or agent can choose to protect your deposit in our insured scheme or our custodial scheme.

Insured Agent/landlord holds deposit		Custodial We hold the deposit
Landlord/agent registers deposit online Activate your account using the code sent to you by email or SMS At the end of the tenancy landlord/agent returns deposit direct to you		Landord/agent transfers deposit to TDS Northern Ireland Activate your account using code sent to you by email or SMS At the end of the tenancy login to our website and submit a repayment request

 

 

If you can't reach agreement with your landlord over how much of the deposit they can keep at the end of the tenancy, you can use our free dispute resolution service.
